Our History
Founded by John Dillon, the company has been a cornerstone of quality joinery for over 50 years.
John began his trade in 1975, specialising in windows, doors, and stairs, and quickly built a reputation for excellence. His keen eye for detail and dedication to superior craftsmanship laid the foundation for what would become a trusted and well-respected name in the industry.
In 1981, John’s brother, Willie , joined the business, bringing his own expertise and further strengthening the family’s commitment to quality craftsmanship.
In 1992, Mary Dillon, John’s wife, became part of the business, managing the company’s administration and accounts. Her role in handling the day-to-day operations ensured the smooth running of the company, allowing John and Willie to focus on craftsmanship and expansion.
Together, John and Willie grew the business, expanding its reach and refining its service offerings to better meet the needs of their customers.
Delivering quality solutions for over 50 years
In June 2024, a new era began when John’s son, Sean, returned from Australia to join the family business.
With his arrival, the company transitioned from a sole trader operation to a limited company, rebranding as Dillons Joinery & Engineering. Sean’s expertise brought a fresh perspective, expanding the company’s capabilities beyond UPVC, Aluminium, and Joinery.
With 11 years of experience in the engineering and fabrication industry, Sean has worked alongside some of Ireland’s leading pharmaceutical and construction companies, delivering high-quality fabrication and welding methods across both Ireland and England. His deep industry knowledge and hands-on experience allow Dillons Joinery & Engineering to integrate advanced engineering and fabrication techniques with traditional joinery, offering clients a more comprehensive and technically advanced service.

As the company continues to grow, Dillons Joinery & Engineering remains committed to its founding principles of quality, precision, and customer satisfaction. With John’s time-honored craftsmanship, Willie’s experience, and Sean’s modern engineering and fabrication expertise, the business is now equipped to take on more complex, large-scale projects, serving both residential and commercial clients.
